I am an 'advanced learner' where reading and writing Thai are concerned, but my speaking and listening skills are under-develop ed. This is because of a lack of opportunity to practice with native speakers, except during my fairly frequent visits to Thailand.
If you are a professional or amateur teacher based in London, we could benefit from working together. I would of course like the opportunity to improve my Thai. At the same time, because of my grasp of Thai, I should be able to help you improve your English very effectively. My help would be particularly useful if you have to use English for business and/or technical applications. I would also be happy to assist you in developing teaching materials etc intended for English-speak ing learners (see below).
Te aching materials etc used by most teachers of Thai are clearly not prepared with the help of a native speaker of English. Frankly, it is common that there are confusing errors throughout the English used, even though the teacher concerned is in fact highly competent. Obviously, the credibility of the teacher is reduced as a result - especially where a learner does not know enough Thai to assess the teacher's expertise, other than by his command of English.

I am a beginner who would like to learn Thai for fun, and maybe for use in future employment overseas. I have been to Thailand for work several times, and the Thai I have picked up is limited. I still travel quite a bit, so looking for someone who would be flexible with meeting times. Ideally would have to be 2-3 times a week after work (5:30pm) or on weekends. I want to learn to speak, read and write.

Hello!
I was an exchange student in Bangkok, Thailand for the academic year, last year. I loved learning it. Through the year I became quite proficient in speaking and I could read some things. Now that I have been back in America for almost 8 months, I am losing my Thai. I have more difficultly communication with my host family and my friends, which is extremely depressing since they mean so much to me. I would love to take weekly lessons so that I could continue to improve and at the very least keep up with what I have. I am a straight A student and a very hard worker, so I would be grateful for anyone who would like to speak thai with me.
