My husband and I are going to be going to Thailand for a few months and we want to know how to have a basic conversation. We want an hour lesson once a week starting as soon as possible and ending in May. I just want someone who is a native Thai speaker and lives in my area.

I don't speak thai at all. I want to learn thai because I visit thailand once a month and would really like to be able to communicate in thai. I would like to spend 1 - 3 hours per week on learning. I like to look for a male teacher.... speaking the language is more important at this stage, and the teacher must be fl uent in both english and thai or in both chinese in thai....

I have recently come back from a 4 week stay in Thailand and am planning to take an extended break there next year. I have no Thai at all but am willing to learn all I can before I go next year.
2 lessons a week would suit, depending on cost.
Teac her must have a good understanding of English Language.

1)Proficiency : I learned for 2 years at INALCO PARIS (Institut National des Langues et Cultures Orientales = 'Langues'O' Paris). Now working in Panama, I cannot succeed in meeting with thai speaking people, hence I am forgetting fast.
2) Why ? Mainly for pleasure. Very few chances that my boss will send me to work in Meuang Thai.
3) Can write & read, willing to improve all.
4) Availability : About 2/3 hours per week
