I have recently returned from five months of study and travel in India, where I learned very basic conversationa l Hindi. I plan to return to India soon to pursue a career in teaching or political advocacy. I am willing to dedicate approximately three to five hours a week to private lessons, and more to personal study. My ideal teacher is someone who has experience teaching beginners, and could perhaps introduce me into a community where I could practice the language in a social setting.

I do not currently speak hindi. I am Telugu and was raised speaking english. I am going to get married to a hindi speaking family and would like to learn the language before my wedding in August. I need to learn proper grammar and right way of conversation. I can dedicate up to 2-3 hours a week, especially weekends.
My teacher should be patient and polite.

My proficiency level in Hindi is basically non-existent- -I want to learn the language starting at beginner's level and move up. I want to learn Hinid because my PhD dissertaion is centered on India. I need to particularly learn grammer and conversation and I will be willing to committ to 10 hours/week to the lessons. In my teacher and lessons I am looking basically for experience in teaching and a space to also practice the language. I want to come out of the lessons with an ability to converse in Hindi and read at a fair level. I know how to read, write and speak Bengali fluently, as well as French and English.
