i would love to learn to speak Tamil as i have a baby who is Tamil background and it is important for me to communicate with her in Tamil as well as English.
i am a beginner but very keen and i would like to dedicate at least one hr per week to lessons.

Iam a doctor working in oman.I have 2 kids of 5 and 3 yrs old.we are tamilians,so we want our kids to learn Tamil to read write and speak,which is not available in any schools in Oman.So we thought that we could arrange for a private tuition to learn.so when we go back to India also the kids will not feel tough.

Hello - this site looks quite old (and all the ads for Tamil teachers are from 2008) but JUST IN CASE someone gets this....I am looking for a Tamil teacher.
I am 41 years old, and my wife is Tamilian. We now have a little daughter (5 months)...and I want her to learn Tamil (her mother's tongue).
H aving said this....I DON'T want her to be able to speak behind my back! More seriously, as a family we spend two months every year in Chennai....so it would be nice to learn the language properly.
My wife is helping me learn, but it will be useful to have some formal lessons (also my wife has not learned Tamil formally so struggles sometimes to explain grammatical rules etc). Please get in touch if this reaches you.
