I am a beginning student that has worked on several tape/CD/book methods however it is necessary for me to get conversationa l practiceand much more experience from an experienced teacher. I would prefer a native speaking person but it is not required.

I am a 52 year old man, I am a beginner, and would like to learn Mandarin, Chinese. I plan to take a Vacation to China in late September to visit my future wife. I am serious in my desire to learn to speak this language and I am willing to attend two lessons per week of up to two hours duration each. I am willing to meet you at a convienant location or to be taught in my home. I am flexable and will try to be a good student. I have an above average IQ and will do my best to learn the language and I am willing to apply myself. Thank you for your consideration of my request. I want to start as soon as possible. I am looking for a considerate teacher who has the ability to communicate with me to help me be able to converse in this language.

i am a beginner with great interest in learning to speak mandarin. I have a bachelor of arts degree from University of Colorado as well as a TEFL certificate.
