I was born in Romania and moved to Canada several years ago. Unfortunately , I have forgotten my foreign language. I am looking at learning it back so I can communicate properly with my family back home, and also simply because I need my language back.
I have spent alot of money on books and CDs, but I believe the only way possible at this time to really learn my language is to have a Romanian help me.

I am half French Canadian and half German, but have lived all but my first 2 years in Canada. I lost my German when I learned French at 2 years of age. I speak and write fluently in English and French and have even tutored in French so I understand a lot of the grammar concepts that explain why things are the way they are.
I have taken some German lessons in a French Lycée but would like to start again. Pronunciation and the basics are still in my brain, vocab and grammar are not (especially verb conjugation and word order)!

I am wanting to learn German because next year i plan on being a exchange student and visiting Germany also because it would be a interesting experice. My level is beginner and i have never spoken a word of German in my life. I would like to spend minimun 1-4 hours a week, or maximun 3-5 hours, from December 31 to the end of August. I would like to focus the most on speaking it then grammar. But perhaps once im able to speak fluently if im able, to maybe work on basic grammar.

I am hoping to learn Arabic for a couple of reasons. I have always wanted to go to Egypt and one of my biggest dreams would be to live there. I am a human rights major at Carleton University and I am hoping that once I am done school I will be travelling all around the middle east. I also just love Arabic as a language. I am a beginner, I can only say a very small amount of things in traditional Arabic. I hope to dedicate a few hours a week on it at this time since I am a student. I am just hoping for a teacher that is patient.

I'm currently studying Japanese and Chinese fairly intensively, predominantly because I'm interested in the cultures of both and I love the Chinese characters.
