I would be learning Ukrainian as a complete beginner. I am interested in learning it because I aminterested in the culture and language and I hope to travel there some day. I would probably want to have lessons once a week. I am looking for a teacher in the Washington DC area who is fluent in Ukrainian and English and will be able to teach someone who is starting out with no prior knowledge of the language.

My proficiency level would be as a beginner. I am planning a trip to the Ukraine this summer and I need/want to speak the language. The area that I would like to focus on is the conversation part of the language and I would like to dedicate 3 days of tutoring per week until I feel comfortable. I need someone who is patient. I would also like to start from the beginning. In other words start with the alphabet and work my way up into words, sentences and then conversation.

My boyfriend, his mother, her cousin and I are all interested in learning Ukrainian. None of have any proficiency at all. His mom and her cousin are full Ukrainian and he is half Ukrainian by heritage however none of them ever learned the language as they were all born in the United States. I just like to learn new things and think it would be useful. Also, we would like to be able to teach our children later in life. Also, I am a jewelry designer and many people I deal with in the trade are Russian and since Ukrainian and Russian are very similiar languages, I figure it can't hurt.

I'm a beginner student from India. I'm studying aviation engineering at National Aviation University, and my course is in English. But i want to learn ukrainian as well, as it is one of our subjects.
If its possible i'm looking for studying maybe at my hostel or if you have a class room,i don't mind coming there. and as i'm already studying engineering i can spare about 2 hours about twice a week,
well and about qualitites in you...i just hope you aint to expensive as i'm only a student, 19 years! Hope it'll be fun studying with you!
