I recently moved to India after 15 years living in Tokyo where I took weekly Japanese lessons which I would like to continue to do. My focus is on conversation and reading (not grammar). I passed the JLPT level 2 a few years ago and have studied some of the LPT1 syllabus although I have never had enough time to prepare formally for the exam.
I am only interested in studying with a native Japanese instructor and would like to study for 90 minutes a week.

I believe it is my destiny to learn Japanese so 6 months ago I started my studies. I would classify myself as advanced elementary. I would love to work for a Japanese firm someday and be complety immersed. I will be taking the JPLT5 exam at Ryukyu University on 5 Dec 2010 and feel confident I will pass. My goal is to find a tutor that can help prepare me for the JPLT 4 test in July 2011 and the JPLT 3 test in December 2011. I would like to have a tutor that has a flexible schedule and can work around my work schedule. Two 1-2 hour classes per week would be ideal. I want to focus on passing the JPLT 4 exam and practicing what Japanese I already know in conversation. I think I am stronger at reading/writi ng/kanji but need more time practicing speaking.
