Hello. My name is Alex Morley. I'm currently teaching English to school children in Okinawa, Japan but am coming back to the UK for 3 weeks during August.
After living here for a year and a half my Japanese has reached a good level but I plan to move to China at some point in the future. I would be really interested in finding a tutor who would be able to give me some intensive tuition in Mandarin while I am back home. I can read and write a fair amount of Chinese but because I have taught myself I haven't had any opportunities to practice tones, accent and general conversation.
I'm a keen learner and willing to travel if the tutor is unable to reach my family's house in Rickmansworth . As I will technically be on vacation I will have plenty of free time and would be very happy to have lessons at any time convenient for the tutor.
I am also keen on picking up some Korean. I can already read Hangul and, given my knowledge of Japanese, I am aware of the use of particles and grammar that is common in both Japanese and Korean.

Hello my name is karel and i am currently student of birmingham city university. I want to learn mandarin, because of consideration of going to live for a while to taiwan with my girlfriend after my studies. My level of mandarin is very poor. I know just few phrases. I am looking for to improve my mandarin conversation skills. I would like to dedicate at least 4-5 lessons a week. I have just spent seven Months in Haerbin Northern China before and during this time I have picked up some basic use of the language. I could return to China on business at the end of this year and wish to improve my ability to communicate further.

Hello,
I want to have a good level of Chinese for when I visit Beijing this Summer to teach English. I have already had 10 weeks of Mandarin at university (4 hours / week), learning to read, write and speak it from beginners level. I have lots of text books but would like a language teacher to give structure to my learning, to correct written homework, for conversation practice and explaining grammatical structures. I have a languages degree (French and German) and would like to progress quite quickly in Mandarin. I'm looking for a teacher who can challenge me!
I am in Liverpool city centre on Wednesday afternoons and evenings if this would be convenient.
