-I am currently in the Dominican Republic for work. I will be here until 2012 and not knowing the language for that many years would be a true travesity.
-Beginner.
-Basic conversation to start. I would like to be able to understand and speak the basics to survive for the next few months. My Contract is rotation-base d, which means I'll be back in Canada for 2 weeks every 2 months (6/2). If the lessons are going well, I would like to continue and venture into more difficult aspects of the language like grammer and various other written aspects.
-I will be in Canada starting next week (July 27-August 7) and would like to get a rapid program to understand the basics. After that, if it goes well, I would like to continue online for the duration of my stay here in the DR until my next visit to Canada 6 weeks later.
-Some one's who patient with a young beginner such as myself. Rates are a big deciding factor since this will be a multi-year commitment.

I am currently an absoulte beginner in portuguese, I wish to learn portuguese for various reasons, mostly for more career opportunities . Hi there. I have spent some time in Taiwan, and started to learn a little bit of Mandarin. I'm back in Canada until January/Febru ary at which point I will go back to Taiwan. I would like to learn a little bit of Mandarin while I'm home to keep me busy and interested in the language. I'm an extreme beginner, and would be interested in just basic conversation, and of course the tones. I have free time in the evenings Mon. - Fri. I would like a teacher who is quite relaxed.. and very patient.
