Hi !
I'm a 22 year-old student doing my degree in Conflict Studies in Ottawa. My native language if French, but I'm fluent in English and speak an intermediate- advanced Spanish. I would love to now learn Portuguese, as I believe it's a really beautiful language. Eventually, I'd also like to learn Italian... but one thing at the time ! Learning Portuguese represents a great deal of challenge for me, first because I will have to really disconnect it from my Spanish knowledge, and second because I believe a good Portuguese prononciation is a little harder to reach then the Spanish one !
Being a full-time student and a part-time worker, I'm a little short on the budget, so I can't afford expensive lessons. That is why I was hoping to meet someone who would like to spent some time with me here and there to introduce me to Portuguese, without it being too costy ! :)

I am learning spanish because I will be moving to Mexico and would like to be able to work. I have a good base of spanish, I can understand a good amount but cannot speak it very well. I am looking to do 1-2 sessions a week maybe more depending because I will be leaving for mexico in january or february. I am looking for a teacher who is comfortable and fun and will push me to learn as much as i can.

I am an unemployed non-smoking artist with a disability.
I was hoping to study Hungarian through the Ottawa Catholic School Board under their International Languages Program which you can see on their website. Hungarian is listed on their website. Even if Hungarian appears in the classes offered, I was told on the phone that it is not being given for School Year 2010-2011 due to lack of registrations in Fall of 2009.
I am learning Hungarian because I like it very much. I was a member of Tulipán Hungarian Dancers of Ottawa, but adult dance group fell apart in 2006.
I am not looking for a career advancement, I just love the Hungarian folklore, especially Hungarian folk dancing, arts, music, etc.
Even if I have been exposed to Hungarian culture for more than 10 years, sadly my proficiency level is still at beginner although I am being told by many native speakers that my pronunciation is very good as I have the phonetics memorized very well.
I have tried with method called Assimil but due to not having someone to practice with I am very much behind. Learning on my own is slow because I can only take so much of being alone with this task. I find it overwhelming to learn alone and not have a good framing of discipline like I would get if I was taught Hungarian in a school program.
The areas in which I feel I need particular improvement is understanding grammar and being able to have conversation, etc.
I look for people to volunteer their time to help me as much they can as I am wanting to dedicate myself to my Hungarian lessons everyday to become as fluent as native Hungarian speakers.
The qualities I am looking for in my lessons and in my teacher is patience and generosity of sharing this special skill.

I'm moving to Algeria in 6 months and trying to find work which requires Arabic speaking. I'm fluent in English and French and desperately need to learn Arabic. I'm a beginner in this language however I have learned persian (farsi) easily. The areas of my needs would be mostly conversation however grammar would also be helpful. I can dedicate nighttime and weekends to my classes as I am a single mother of 3 children. I'm looking for a very clear and well organised teacher who of course must have patience with his students and a passion for his teaching.
