Greetings,
I am dedicated to learning Amharic. My language goals include fluently speaking, reading, writing and understanding Amharic. I have been to Ethiopia twice and have picked up some phrases and a few vocabulary words, however when I am there all my friends want to practice their English with me, so unfortunately I never seem to have the opportunity to be fully emerged in the language. I have purchased Amharic language learning tools, created flashcards, and regularly listen to Amharic music all in hopes to begin to understand the language more and begin to speak it. I would like a trained instructor who has successfully taught a non-Amharic speaker how to speak fluently. I understand that the speed and skill in which I learn Amharic all depends on my dedication and effort, so I am ready to move to the next step and actually begin to converse in Amharic. Hopefully when I return to Ethiopia in 2016 I will impress all my friends with my new language skills.

Hi My name is Bethlehem and I am 13 years old. I have just been accepted into Vanderbilt but I have always wanted to learn Chinese because I want to go to Asia when I grow up. I was going to take Chinese at my high school but they took it out this year. I really want to learn this language I know only a couple of vocab words at most. I am wiling to spend all my summers and some during the school year lessons. All I am looking for in a tutor is that you would be able to meet me at a library or coffee shop and by the end of my last lesson that I would be able to understand what people were saying and be able to reply.
