I know nothing of German or Russian, but am interested in learning both, particularly conversation, but grammar as well. I mostly want to learn just to be able to speak a second language, so if I can get through the basics, I'll be happy. My husband and I are beginning learners and we plan to come to Barcelona for a month in March. We are seeking a private tutor for a couple of hours a day, 3 days a week. I've had two semesters of French at Georgetown University in Washington DC for the language proficiency requirement in the Walsh School of Foreign Service. I chose French because of my interest in West Africa. I can dedicate a couple of hours four or five days a week, and my schedule is very flexible over the summer. In a teacher, I need someone who does dialogue along with grammar lessons, so I can have practice speaking as well as learning language structure.
