Hello, we are looking for a German tutor for our 5 year old daughter. She has learned a good bit of vocabulary so far (with a previous tutor) but is not conversationa l yet. We prefer someone who is used to working with Children, can keep it fun but still facilitate learning, is patient and has a proven teaching style. We have some materials and German books but can purchase more if necessary. It would be great if the tutor had materials to bring as well. She will not be in school over the summer so times starting June 1 are very flexible. When school starts she would be available after 3:15pm depending on the day. For her age we think an hour to an hour and a half is probably best. She is a very intelligent, sweet, little girl and according to previous teachers she is a pleasure to work with. She LOVES to learn and is excited about German. Her father and grandparents are German and can practice with her once she has a good 'base'. My 10 year old son and I are interested in learning Japanese. We are taking a trip to Japan this summer and would like to be able to try conversing a little. We would like to have one to two lessons per week until we leave on June 23rd. We are beginners.
