I am looking to learn the basics of Urdu. Because I am a beginner, I will need help in all areas. I can probably dedicate 1 day a week to my language lesson. I am looking for a teacher who will be patient with me as I'm a new student. However, I did go very far in learning Spanish so I do have some language experience other than English. I would like to know how much these classes are before I decide to take them. I've had such a hard time finding urdu language classes in the DC Metro area, so I'm very excited to learn more about this.

I am a beginner. I have not learned the language before, and I wish to learn it for family reasons. I am engaged to a man who speaks Cantonese and i want to be able to better communicate with his older family members who are unable to learn english well. Since I am young and may have a better capacity to learn a new language, I want to do this for them, as well as myself.
