Description as requested:
-I am looking for an one-on-one instructor for my 8 year old daughter. She is a native New Yorker and have had 6 months of Mandarin teaching by a college professor who recently moved away. She had lessons 2 times a week for about 2 hours each session. Her teacher was an ex-professor at Shanghai University, who was also patience and kind. My daughter is especially intellegent and is only a beginner. We are looking for a long term instructor who will also eventually teach my 5 year old son. I am a native Hong Kong born chinese but is no long fluent in the language but wish my children to learn the language properly. I just started learning Finnish by myself with books.
Fin land has been always a country that I love especially
a fter I visited 6 years ago. I have a CD,'Salaa'fro m Petri Laaksonen, and I recently start being crazy to listening this
CD somehow, and I eager to know these songs meaning.
I am also thinking to vist Finland again, and I would like to liver there one day because of many aspects that make me think, Finland is the country that I heartly want to settle my life.
I would like to dedicate my time as much as possible for learning Finnish but Iam working, so let's say if I have a teacher who can provide me a live lesson, once a week. However I would spend time every day to study.
Of course I would like to have a qualitied teacher but since i am very beginner now, any Finnish native speaker can be a truely appliciated!*

My boyfriend, his mother, her cousin and I are all interested in learning Ukrainian. None of have any proficiency at all. His mom and her cousin are full Ukrainian and he is half Ukrainian by heritage however none of them ever learned the language as they were all born in the United States. I just like to learn new things and think it would be useful. Also, we would like to be able to teach our children later in life. Also, I am a jewelry designer and many people I deal with in the trade are Russian and since Ukrainian and Russian are very similiar languages, I figure it can't hurt.
