I travelled to Iran three years ago and have since become facsinated with their wonderful culture, history and food. I am currently finishing my degree in Ancient History and plan to go back to Iran sometime in the next few months to travel extensively and hopefully learn to speak Farsi to a reasonable level. I know a few words of Persian here and there, but would like to be able to have actual conversations with people.

I am learning Persian because my wife is from Iran and i really want to communicate with her and her parents in their native language. I've been in Germany for 5 yrs but had to learn German before i could attempt Persian. I've started to learn the alphabet and still at the beginnings of beginners level. I would like to spend as much time as i can during the week. Anywhere from 5-15 hours a week would be ideal. I'm looking for someone who is patient and can explain things in English.
