My husband and I visited Malawi in the summer of 2009 for a two week mission trip and plan to return in the summer of 2011. We are both very proficient on the computer and have time to learn Chichewa with both taped lessons and via the internet. We both would like to become more fluent in the language before our return trip. We were a part of a group of 5 adults from our church and learned only simple beginning phrases which we did not use much. All 5 members are interested in learning the language, however, I am not sure if all 5 want to use this method. We need to know a bit more about how this system works and the costs involved.

i am interested in Conversation level Chichewa. I am learning because I would like to go to Malawi Africa to teach the bible to deaf people. The areas I need improvement is conversation. I am willing to dedicate as much time as needed.
