at least a bachelors degree and preferably a masters degree

I want to learn mandarin to improve my communication and written skills in the language. I am from Australia, and working in Qingdao and would like to develop a solid grasp of the language. Ive had lessons in mandarin before in Australia but i would still consider my ability to speak and read mandarin as basic. I would like to have lessons maybe 2-5 hours a week. I am an Indian, just came to Suzhou to work in an manufacturing organisation. Having decided to stay in china long term, I am finding there is a compelling reason to learn, to atleaset speak, Chinese language. I know nothing about chinese and am looking at very basic level - just conversationa l levels with my peers.

I n Japanese I would consider my level to be lower intermediate and I am an absolute beginner at Chinese. I am looking to improve my conversationa l skills in both languages and I am willing to devote an hour a day.
