Good Morning,
I was surfing the net and I stumbled across this website. I am very interested in learning Serbian. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 5 years and he is Serbian whereas I am from the Caribbeans (Trinidad) which, our national language is English. So I was never introduced to any other leanguage. I tried learning the language through him and on my own but time is always a factor. His parents do speak alittle bit of English but, sometimes it is hard to communicate towards one another. Especially his grandmother who doesn't speak a word of English only, German and Serbian. I believe I know the basic. For example saying how are you 'Kako ste?', I am good-'Dobro', things like that but, my goal is to be able to not only speak the language but to as well be able to read and write too. I am willing to dedicate myself to this lessons if they will help me out tremendously. My preference for a teacher on teaching me Serbian is somebody who is willing to take the time and make me understand what needs to be know about the Serbian language. Through my boyfriend I am quite familair with the Serbian history so I am comfortable with that aspect but, when it comes to the language I need help. Hi,
I am wanting to learn Croatian at an intermediate level. My boyfriend is Croatian and I would like to be able to communicate. I will be a beginner - I know small conversation but nothing other than 'how are you, my name is, I am from, I don't understand' - extremely small talk.
I would like education with grammar, conversation and anything else that is involved with the language - we are planning to have a holiday in Croatia next year and I would really like to be able to communicate with his family to the best of my ability.
I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can throughout the year - practice will not be a problem for me, as I know my partner will be able to revise with me.
If anyone could help that would be great,
