I am a High-Beginner /Low-Intermedi ate in Speaking and listening.
I studied Speaking and Listening in Taiwan for two years. I did not study how to read and write Chinese characters at that time.
I have taught myself how to read a Sichuan Restaurant menu, and Chinese food preperation terms. I have also taught myself the 250 traditional radicals, as well as The 100 most commonly used characters.
I am currently teaching myself 'The Students 2000 list' used by Yale University.
My goal is to be able to read books written by Wang Shang Dzai, Guo Yu Shen,as well as other martial arts masters. Ultimatley, it is my goal to read Classical Chinese.
O f course, I also want to work on Speaking and Listening.
I have an advanced CTESOL certificate, and am open to a language exchange. I am also willing to pay for ongoing Mandarin lessons.

Hello , I am placing this ad because I wish to continue my studies in the Chinese language. I would like to learn both mandarin and cantonese but, mandarin first. I have already studied it some and feel that I am not a beginner but I am not quite intermediate. I wish to learn chinese for personal gratification , and possibly in the future, career advancement. I need improvement in all areas including grammar, conversation, and character writing. 2 to 3 days a week is the amount of time I would like to spend on lessons.
The only quality I wish for my teacher to have is that they are fluent or near fluent in both chinese and english.
