I have lived in the Netherlands for three years now and intend to stay at least another five. I want to integrate more in local life and feel that the first step is to master at least some level of the language. My partner has a similar profile and goal, as does a friend of ours, also in Haarlem. I would like to pursue individual lessons for each, or combined lessons for those whose levels would permit it.
I have had over 100 hours of lessons, but the spoken word evades me as I work in an English speaking environment, and speak English at home as well. The others have similar profiles, but may have some difference in level.
I am primarily looking to improve comprehension and the ability to speak.
I would like to dedicate 2-3 hours per week to lessons.
I hope to find a teacher who provides a structured lesson (so I am focused on the language, and not on making up situations in which to speak) and one with patience and persistence to help with pronunciation .
