I want to learn Korean to further my existing knowledge of the language. I have a general understanding of the language, but I would like to be an advanced speaker and writer. I particularly need improvement in my writing and grammar. I want to dedicate as much time as I can to learning Korean. The qualities I am looking for in a Korean teacher are young, nice, down to earth and a good instructor.

1. I'm learning Korean as it is a form of interest for me and a way to pass my holidays.
2. My proficiency level is beginner.
3. I have not learnt Korean before so I will need coaching from the basics.
4. I am able to commit 1-2 days for Korean language classes which last 1.5-2 hours.
5. My teacher has to be earnest and creative in teaching Korean to me and preferably communicate with me in Korean during lessons so that I can improve on my conversationa l skills. It would also be good if the teacher can give me formative assessments once in awhile.

I do not know any Korean at all (not even the alphabet). I need to learn Korean at a fairly fast pace, as I am going to study abroad there for a year in a few months. Because I don't have anything to do during the summer, I am looking for a teacher that will be fairly intensive. I will study rigorously on my own time, as well!
