I'm a total beginner.
I' m looking to speak Chinese for a number of different reasons. First, I'm going to have Olympic business in China over the next four years and I want to be able to have some communication skills when I'm over there.
Secon dly, I plan on spending a number of upcoming vacations in the Far East.

I have some very basic mandarin conversation skills learned while living in Taipei. I am looking for a tutuor who can instruct using traditional chinese (not simplified), does not speak 'Beijing-hua' , and is familiar with the differences in the Taiwanese usage of mandarin (not looking for a Taiwanese accent). Prefer a teacher familiar with bo-po-mo-fo pronunciation alphabet. My wife is from Taiwan, my objective is to improve communication with her family.

I am looking for a Mandarin native speaking teacher for an after school program at an elementary school to start as early as January 2005. We are looking for someone who has experience with a thoroughly planned curriculum, which includes the use of stories, songs, etc. to teach the children the Mandarin language. We plan to hold the classes twice a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, from 2pm to 3pm. There is a possibility in expansion of the program to five days a week depending on interest. Class size will depend on enrollment but is estimated to be between 10 to 15 students.
