I am about to marry a man who is from India and who's native language is Kannada. I not only want to learn the language for myself, but I also need to learn the language for several reasons: To be able to communicate with his family who are in India. And also so that we can teach our future children together. It is very important to my fiancé that his native language is used for generations to come.
I am at a very beginner level. I do not know any of the language thus far. I would initially like to focus on conversationa l Kannada, and I would be able to dedicate some time once a week to a lesson. However, I would be able to practice daily with my fiancé and our friends.
I am looking for a teacher with whom I can relate to, who is patient and thorough, and is excellent at teaching language (English is the only language I know and I do not consider languages a strength of mine).

Hi my names jorden Hall-Coutu and I really want to learn how to speak gaelic (irish).my grandma is irish and she passed away recently and in her memory I wanna learn her native language. The irish language seems very interesting to learn and looks like a pretty awesome language with a lot of culture and religion in the language. I would more prefer to learn in person but online and text chat will work I'm a better in person learner.

I am learning these foreign languages because i wish to travel to areas in the world like Syria and Iraq, and become a aid worker/fighte r. Language is a main barrier i will be facing when in that territory and help breaking that would be amazing.
I have no prior skill in the Arabic and Kurdish language, i am a straight beginner.
I need improvement in all aspects of language mastery.
I can dedicate as much time as needed, i don't intend to leave until i am fully fit, well spoken of that language, know the geographic's of the land, have attuned my digestion to the food mainly eaten there, and have some what of hands on and conflict training. I am highly serious about this and if i can not find a teacher here i will find one some where else.
Qualities i look for in my mentor would be patience as my skill is at a very beginner level. I also need my teacher to be focused and well versed in English, Kurdish and Arabic. Help me learn this language so i can help the citizens of Iraq and Syria.
