I have been studying Japanese for several years and think that I am about Level 4 (although I haven't taken the JLPT).
I want to learn Japanese because I was born there but never learned the language. It's always been my dream. I want to speak enough Japanese to easily get by in Tokyo, which I visit at least once a year. I'd also like to practice what I already know. Basically, I need someone to talk to.
I'd like to learn conversation in particular. Therefore, my listening skills and vocabulary need to be improved. Don't worry about having a challenging class- I am a diligent student!
I can devote 2-3 hours a week to my language lessons with a teacher.
I am looking for a confident teacher who is fluent in Japanese, of course. I want the kind of Japanese that the natives speak. I want someone who is flexible but has an organized lesson plan. In other words, I don't want a lesson where anything goes. I have several Japanese books that we could use if you don't have materials of your own. Having a stable dsl connection to do Skype video chat with is also highly favored, if not necessary, due to my irregular schedule.

My daughter, 14 yrs of age is interested in learning the japanese language as she is highly skilled in drawing and facinated in anime. I hope to enroll her in a school that can accommodate and teach her in the morning of weekdays during the summer vacation. Preferably it will start at 8am and will finish by 12nn at a class in Ortigas, Pasig where I work. Teacher must be a woman, preferably in her 20's or early 30's and has experience in teaching, preferably teenagers. Teacher is patient and does not scare the child to encourage clarification s if any. Thank you.

Hi! I am a beginner in learning japanese and chinese mandarin.
I would like to learn these languages because I am interested in the Japanese and Chinese culture. I have fun watching their shows and I believe that I will be able to understand their way of living more if i understand their language. Furthermore, the I work in the hospitality industry and learning how to speak and write in other languages will be a big plus.
My current work schedule will only allow me to study after 7pm and during Sundays.I believe that a daily lesson of 1 to 2 hours will be the best way of learning the language. Assignments will also be beneficial.
