I want to learn many different languages so that I can become more advanced in my career path. I am sure the world is a beautiful place and I want to see more of it in the near future and meet new people as well.
My proficiency level is beginner and I believe that I need more practice in conversation.

I am looking to learn russian as I will be travelling there next year. I will not be there for long but I am still very interested to learn russian more extensively than just the basics. I have no previous knowledge of the russian language and am starting from scratch so a teacher that is a little patient would be best.
I wish to dedicate a few hours a week to study the language. I don't mind if the classes are private or group, I am just very eager to learn!

I suppose the best way to answer the question, why are you learning a foreign language?, to communicate. To answer more practically, I am studying linguistics and, obviously, having in depth knowledge of any language is beyond helpful. Currently, in Russian, my level of proficiency is beginner, though I am a fast learner. I learn grammar and conjugation the fastest, while I conversation and vocabulary are always needing improvement. I love learning languages so I can spend up to four hours a day studying. Granted, this is not an everyday practice, but still. I look for teachers who have a good grasp of grammar, rigorous lessons and exercises, and of course, easily makes the material accessible.

I am interested in learning Russian partly for business reasons but mostly out of personal interest. I may have the opportunity to work in Russia next year. By profession I am a scientist.
My proficiency level is beginner, although, many years ago at university, I took first and second year Russian.
I am interested in an all-round approach to learning a language--rea ding, grammar and conversation.
As I am a professional consultant, I do not work full-time if I choose not to, and this year I am planning to take most of the summer off work, that is, April to September.
With the right tutor, I intend to devote significant time to learning over the summer. I am looking for a teacher who enjoys teaching.
