My name is yumiko bautista. I'm half Japanese but unfortunately do not know how to speak, read or write Japanese. The only words i know are the polite necessities. I would like to know more about my culture starting by speaking the language. It is my hope to learn the language before the year ends, or at least learn how to converse.

I am a student from the US studying in Manila for a semester, and am interested in learning conversationa l Tagalog while I am here. I am taking classes at UP Manila School of Public Health and will begin volunteering soon with a health clinic that works with street children.
