I have just started teaching myself Maltese, as such my knowledge is pretty minimal. I wish to understand written and spoken Maltese and have some conversationa l ability. I am not interested in learning detailed grammar at this stage, I want to take a pragmatic approach to learning to communicate in Maltese. I am looking for a tutor to provide fairly intensive tuition for about 3 hours per day for a week on an ad hoc basis as I come to Malta fairly randomly, but a number of times during the year. I want a well-educated tutor who is totally fluent in Maltese and English.

I understand Portuguese because I have a fluent knowledge of Italian, and have spent many months living with Portuguese students.
I would like to move to Portugal to work and study, so I need to learn really good Portuguese.
I need improvement in conversation and writing mostly.
I need an Intensive course of not more than a month.
