I am a beginner I'm looking to learn Korean because i am hoping to move there with my girlfriend and be able to work there so i will be needing to speak Korean .I need improvement in every aspect of Korean i know very little and I'm hoping to become fluent.i am willing to dedicate as much time as i can to learning. I am not picky on qualities my teacher will have to live in Ottawa Ontario and is willing to meet in person for the lessons and he or she will have to be fluent in Korean them self.

I am currently learning Korean in order to best communicate with my girlfriends parents. Will meet them for the first time this summer!
Have lived and worked in Gwangju, South Korea for 14 months, teaching English, so I can read Hangul.
Of importance to me, is developing basic conversationa l skills.
Pronunciati on, and how to formulate basic sentences, pose questions, etc. are extremely important.
As time is somewhat constrictive, I can currently only do 1-2 lessons per week.
Howeve r outside the 'classroom', I would like to dedicate 2-3 hours each day.
Some qualities I look for in a teacher?
As a former teacher myself, I look for one who is patient, who has an engaging manner, has a good sense of humour, is thorough with their explanations, doesn't mind being asked repetitive questions, and one who would like to teach for the joy of teaching itself!

I want to learn korean language because Im interested in it and i can read korean characters. Nothing else. SInce im a beginner, im expecting a teacher who'll be able to help me to understand more korean language as well as it's culture ( if possible ). i prefer to learn it through conversation but i want to be good at grammar as well. perhaps learning through online conversation will be best since i dont have much time to be spent outside.
