I have begun to teach myself the letters and some pronunciation of Sanskrit because of my interest in Hatha yoga (as a basis for Kundalini). I am interested in learning sanskrit because i am a student of yoga and would like to be able to learn read and understand the indian scriptures.
I have never learnt sanskrit although can read hindi..and am familiar with many sanskrit prayers and chants.
I would like to be able to read , write and most importantly pronunce the words correctly.
I would like to dedicate atleast 2-4 hours a week.
The most important things im looking for in my teacher is proficiency in the language especially related to hindi scriptures and prayers.
I would like to read the bhagwad gita etc...

I am very interested in learning Sanskrit, mainly for my own development. I find its background fascinating and feel that I should learn it. I am at a beginner level, so all areas need to be studied from the complete start. I want language lessons to last one hour twice a week. The teacher must be very patient especially because the pronunciation is very difficult to get right, and very good at interacting and presenting the information.
