I have taken beginner classes in the past. I can speak very little.
My fiance as well as several of my friends are Chinese.
My focus is on conversation, but I would also like to read traditional characters.
I would like to spend about 1 or 2 lessons per week.

I have no experience with Mandarin Chinese. In considering traveling to China in March I would like to practice the language as much as possible. My only interest is in conversationa l Mandarin. Over the next month i might be able to attend classes 3x per week. I work best with friendly and direct teachers.

I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese. I am an absolute beginner. I would like to learn for many reasons. I am currently learning kung fu, I enjoy playing Go (Wei Chi) and I think learning Mandarin would be interesting. I am mostly interested in learning to converse, but I would like to learn reading and writing, too. I feel grammer is very important in speaking and writing.
I would like a teacher that is easy-going and knowledgable. Two or three lessons per week would be fine. Homework every night would not be a problem.

My daughter was adopted from China and has been getting exposure to mandarin and really enjoying it. I would like her to continue next year even though she won't have expsosure through school. I'm looking for a way for her to get lessons after school. She will be in kindergarten - most likely in Heather.
