I was living in Japan for three months with my friends, 'learned' Japanese to a communicative way. When I came back I was attending Japanese course for a year. That was in 2004. Unfortunately without the practice I don't remember it at all but I would love to continue to study it as Japan and Japanese is my true love.

I have taken Mandarin for two years, and in fact I am currently living in China as part of a high school exchange program. I will return to the United States in two weeks. I have been studying Japanese, but am still only on a beginner level. I am trying to learn it because I aspire to go to college in Japan(some universities offer classes in English, but of course I will need to know Japanese for other 'daily life' sort of reasons).

I am very infatuated with the culture of japan. I would like to learn more about the culture and the language. It has been my dream to some day move to Japan, and if I learn the language, I am one step closer to making the dream a reality. I want to learn to comunicate and write fluent Japanese. I understand this is very hard work but I am willing to work hard to achieve this goal.
