I'd like to learn Russian in preparation for travel to St. Petersburg. I'm interested in dance history and would like to visit the Maryinsky Theater and the Kirov Ballet School as an observer.
I'm a total beginner, and would like to take two lessons a month at first.
I would like to work with a teacher who is able to work with beginners and will focus on drill work and short skits rather than excessive grammar analysis.
If possible, I'd perfer someone interested in the arts as well.

I am learning Russian because I am really interested in the language, Russian history and culture. I would like to travel/study in Russian in the future therefore I want to start actively learning with a native speaker right away.
I am a beginner but not an absolute beginner. I have been teaching myself Russian on and off for the past couple years. I have learned the cyrillic script and can read a little bit. I know some vocabulary and probably some grammar but not explicitly.
At first I would like to have lessons once per week but that may increase in the future.
I am looking for a native Russian speaker, who has experience teaching Russian. Someone who is educated and can effectively explain the language in depth. Although I am primarily wanting to learn conversationa l Russian, I also want to know as much grammar as possible.
