I'm learning french for the benefit of the classroom (IB French course) and outside classroom in later careers. I would like to be able to express myself in french if not speak it fluently in the next year or so. Right now, I have taken 4 years of french in school, but it has not helped so much. I can structure simple sentences with different verb tenses but cannot structure them comfortably. I need improvement in listening and speaking, and just understanding the language in general. In my lesson, I am looking for a teacher who is willing to push me, who is willing to make me work hard to become fluent in french or to be able to express myself in french comfortably as fast as possible.

Russian:
I have been learning Russian through private lessons for about a year, and would like to continue to do so. Due to a cross-Atlanti c move, I am unable to continue with my current tutor. I am still a beginner, and particularly have problems in gaining enough confidence to speak. I am mostly learning the language for fun, but would like to be able to develop a reading ability to assist me with some research for my MA. Until fall, when my schedule will change with my studies, I wish to have between two and three lessons per week for at least an hour. I like my lessons to be relaxed and non-intimidat ing. My previous experiences with languages have taught me that I will make many grammar mistakes (especially with Russian noun declinations) , and that the correct grammar will come in time. I'd rather learn in a fun manner, improving my grammar over time, rather than working with tables and charts; I've found them to not be very useful for me. I would like my tutor to be a native Russian speaker with experience conducting private lessons. Also, although it's not completely necessary, I would enjoy having a friendly relationship with my future teacher. We don't need to become best friends, but being able to chat for a bit before and after lessons, in my opinion, makes the experience more enjoyable and personal for the both of us.
French :
I learned French in junior and high school, and other than a one-month language learning vacation in Hyères last year, I have not used my French. I used to be intermediate, but now am leaning more toward being a beginner again. I would like more confidence in all areas of study, but especially speaking and reading. I would be willing to have one or two lessons per week for at least an hour since I would only be taking lessons for personal enjoyment. I've never had a French tutor before, but I would be looking for the same qualities in a teacher that I am looking for in language lessons: someone who is helpful, kind, patient and who has experience teaching private lessons. I would prefer a native speaker, but if that is not possible, I would be willing to discuss lessons with someone who did their primary, secondary and possibly tertiary education in French.

My Dad's first language is French and my mom is fluent in it. I would like to learn French for my own benefit. As for Portuguese, My dad has lived in Brazil for 10 years and I go down to visit him every other year or so. I speak a very little amount of Portuguese, not enough to out on my own when I’m visiting my dad and I would really like to explore his city with out him and meet new people.
I know absolutely no French and speak very little Portuguese so would be a beginner in both. I would like to dedicate 1 or 2 sessions a week.
I am also slightly dyslectic so it would be harder for me to understand the grammar and spelling, so I would need a teacher that would be very patient and understanding .

Hello,
I am looking to become more proficient in both spoken and written French for business development. I work for a French company and need to be able to speak well within a medical environment.
I live in Oakville and would prefer in-person tutoring. I have taken French throughout high school and through the Rosetta stone but still would consider myself a beginner. I can understand French rather well but need more confidence with grammar to speak more fluently and correctly.
One to two nights per week would be possible.
