Wish to learn Mandarin mainly for career development and because I am Chinese!
I wish to immerse myself into language lessons, but need to check with my company as to how much they are willing to sponsor me for.
I want a teacher who is friendly and approachable, yet will push me to learn at a fast rate. I do not want to follow a strictly regimented approach to learning Mandarin, as I have found from previous experience that this can hinder the rate of improvement when learning other languages (e.g. getting bogged down with the basics).

Hello there!
We are a Chinese family from Singapore who have a five-year old son. We currently wish to engage a chinese tutor for him so that he does not lose touch of the language as he is not exposed to a chinese environment here.
We are prefer the lessons to be 2 times a week (about 1 to 2 hours each time) in the afternoons (preferably after 3 pm. We already have purchased teaching materials for him but he is reluctant to learn from his parents. He has some basic chinese knowledge (recognising some characters and speaking).
