I have taken beginner level courses in Icelandic at the University of Iceland and have, therefore, a basic understanding of grammar. I can read simple texts and understand basic conversations but can only speak a little. I am a PhD student and archaeologist with a focus on Medieval Iceland. I am a beginning Russian language student. I have mastered the Russian alphabet and have been studying the Russian language informally for the past year.
I would like to learn the language to enhance my understanding of the Russian culture and broaden my opportunities for social and business contacts.
I have a deep appreciation for Russian history and their contribution to science and the arts. I have had the privildege to work with Russians several years ago and enjoyed the experience.

I am working on ROYAL CARIBBEAN cruises and would like to take mandarin beginner conversation classes (intensive) twice a week. I will be in San Diego every Tuesday and LA (San Pedro) on Fridays. I want to learn as much as I can the sonnest as possible, I am more than motivated.
I also have access to Internet on the ship.
