My wife and I are going to Korea in 2010 to teach English and want to learn the language before we go to be able to communicate around the country. We are also thinking of adopting from Korea someday, and would want to speak it in the home. I can read the alphabet and speak and understand very little, and my wife is an absolute beginner.
We have about 8 months to study, and want to do a couple hours per week until we go, primarily in speaking and communicating , but we also want to be able to read basic materials (newspapers, signs, etc...not books).

I am interested in learning to speak and understand Korean. I listen to a lot of Korean music and because of that, became interested in the language. I would like to take a trip there, but would like to be able to speak the language or atleast have a better understanding of it before I plan a trip. Plus, I just want to learn to understand the music I listen to. I would be a beginner. I'm not really interested in reading and writing. I just want to speak and understand as quickly as possible. I am willing to spend whatever time it takes. I am available Sunday, Monday anytime, and all other days in the evenings.

I am an ESL teacher here in Seoul and would like to learn more Korean. I have a basic vocabulary and would like to work on writing and speaking.
Ideally, I would like 2-3 lessons a week, after 7 on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

I need to learn the Korean language to help me
in my business conversation with the Koreans.
I have very little knowledge about the language and culture and would really want to start from a beginners level.
I would like to emphasize the class more on conversations , writings and reading.
I would like to spent about 4 hours a week and if it requires I might intend to extend the hours to achieve to the expected results.
I hope to find a teacher who can tutor me on basic business conversations and also culture practices.
