I lived in Japan for approximately two years and acquired a basic knowledge of the language, although I never took any formal lessons. I can read katakana and hiragana (slowly), but I only know about sixty kanji. I don`t have a specific area which I would like to focus on. I would just like to keep studying the language and improving, as I feel I have made a start and I don`t want to lose what I have already learned. I would like to take just one hour lesson per week, as I`m quite busy with work and other studies. I`m looking for a teacher who can recognise my weak points and direct my learning because at the moment I`m trying to study by myself and feel I`m not getting anywhere.

Im 20 and I have studied japanese for the past 8 years at a secondary school level. However because of my job I havn't been able to concentrate on the language for about a year and have forgotten alot of what I had learnt. Im just looking for a tutor once a week or once a fortnight to help me back up to examination standards to further my career. I will ned tutoring in all four aspects(readi ng, writing, speaking and listening).

I am currently studying Japanese at a year 9 level at school. I am seeking extra help in speaking and writing. I am able to read all hiragana and most katakana. I would prefer 2-3 hours tuition a week. I am learning Japanese to improve my converstaiona l and writing skills.
