I am a complete beginner, my other half is Slovak so I would like to be able to communicate with her in her native language.
I am looking to get to a level whereby I can confidently hold a conversation in Slovak.
I am prepared to take a 1hr lesson everyday for as long as it takes (hopefully no longer than 12 months)
I know reading, writing and grammer are important - however the most important thing to me at the moment is to be able to have a conversation in slovak.

I would be a beginner. I would love to be able to speak Slovak, some of my friends are Slovakian and I want to be able to visit them and be able to converse in their language.
I would like to be able to dedicate a couple of hours a day. I think the language is very difficult so I hope the teacher has patience!!

I am a beginner and I want to learn due to my partner been slovakian. I feel general langauage is the most important to enable me to have discussions with her family in slovakia. then from hear i would like to understand how to read. I am imagining i will need 5-10 sessions with each session been around 2hrs long.
I would hope my teacher can start me from the beginning, give me homework to do. I'm open to doing an intensive sourse or weekly. If they are in my area ideal .. can they travel to me if they are not? I'm open to all suggestions

My proficiency level is minimal. My reason for wanting to learn is because my fiance is Slovak, this sounds like an ideal situation to learn the language, however he works nights and I am a full time student. We just don´t get the time. I would be able to accomodate several hours a week learning time, ideally 2 or 3. What I am looking for from a teacher is someone who is able to give me a solid knowledge of the foundation of the language on which I can build upon.
