My proficiency level is almost complete beginner. I'm learning Japanese as an interest, and potentially to use in later life, if and when I move to the country.
A s a complete beginner, I need particular improvement in everything. Character recognition, however, I aim to learn myself.
I will at the very moment dedicate no time to lessons as I'm only signing up to contact a teacher, but when I've got some money and have got my AS levels out of the way, I will have numerous hours each week.
In my lessons I wish not to learn of Japanese culture, as that's something I'd rather pursue in my own free time (HAHA, A PUN), but the language is something I feel I need proper teaching on. I really don't mind what sort of teacher I get. As long as they don't strike me during lessons (outside lessons is ok) and as long as they can tolerate me, it's fine by me.

I have just spent seven Months in Haerbin Northern China before and during this time I have picked up some basic use of the language. I could return to China on business at the end of this year and wish to improve my ability to communicate further.
