My main goal is to be able to communicate fluently in Fijian to people. My reasoning for this is because my family is from Vanua Levu, Savsavu and I went to Fiji in summer of 2010. This was greatest trip and I made plenty of friends. The problem was that I had no clue what anyone was saying when I went. I have always had a passion for where I come from and I always wanted to learn Fijian. Now I would like to make the first step to learning, I know my basic words and allot of swear words from my visit to my islands in the sun. I would also like to honor my grand father in learning how to communicate in Fijian. I would like to spend around three times a week in lessons because this has now become a top priority because I plan on making a trip next summer in 2013 and would like to know enough to communicate to locals. I'm looking for a teacher that is willing to have the patience and the time to teach me. That's about it!

I plan on taking these skills to the business world; and thus knowing another language - the current language of business - allows me to efficiently communicate in the foreign market. I am a beginner, and only plan on learning the how to speak mandarin and not how to write it. I want to dedicate lots of time to this, 8 hours a week.
I want a teacher that can communicate effectively and relay important details and aspects of the culture that I need to succeed.
