I am married to a Swedish speaking Finn and we have two small children. She talks to them in Swedish and I would like to be more a part of that. In addition it would be helpful for when her family visits us or we visit them. While I was based in Sweden (Malmo) for about 6 months, my Swedish is non-existant so am an absolute beginner. I am prepared to spen as much time as necessary in order to get my Swedish up to a conversationa l level.

I would like to learn Finnish as I am married to a Finnish man and might look at moving to Finland. My husband is currently very busy with work and do not have the time or teaching experience to teach me but could practice conversations with me.
At the moment I only know a few words and willing to do 2 hours weekly or bi-weekly.
I hope to find a teacher who is patient as my language learning abilities are very slow. I also need someone who would encourage and help motivate me.

I am fluent in French after living there for a year but I have been wanting to learn Finnish for a few years now. I am a total beginner but would love to one day be fluent and hopefully live there. When learning a language I like the lessons to be varied and alot of conversation.
