To whom these words shall find: I sincerely hope to find an instructor..( native or otherwise) of Abyssinia origin; willing to teach the Amharic tongue of Ethiopia to someone like myself. I would describe my level of proficiency as 'beginner' when it comes to speaking,but writing and reading I am alittle more 'engaged' because of my many close friendships. It is because of these 'cultural' friendships; and the informative interactive exchanges between them,I have grown to delight in the rich histories of the Amhara peoples and their plight from the days of the Aksum Kings to the years of colonial annexations of Oromo to the modern federalizatio n of the Tigray; its war of independence and now the bright future of a rich historical region. I need to learn this language(alon g with Ge'ez,Oromo,T igrinya)if I am to fully understand my girlfriend,he r family and our friends,(who we indirectly force feed our american ideology and practices)... ..If I can just speak properly,writ e what I'm saying and register what I'm hearing..I would have accomplish a lesson within itself: One in which I am willing to place great effort in fulfilling (even if only a couple of hours per day minimum)..I don't see how my critique of any instructor would better my own experience,bu t it would cause me great pleasure to have a teacher skilled in the knowledge of the Orthodoxy...f or that if where if hope to begin and end my lesson (if it be the will of God!)..this would indeed show me his/her soul to be set forth on the path of 'good intention' and set my mind at ease. THANK YOU.

I wish to learn Vietnamese in the coming year, beginning with online instruction. I am a beginner. I will be in Hanoi in February 2006 to arrange lessons and will return to study for several weeks or months. I recently married a Romanian; she currently resides on Bucharest, while I remain in the USA. I will be moving to Romania within 8 to 12 months. My wife speaks fluent English, I want to learn Romanian to communicate with other family members who do not speak English, and also so that I am comfortable moving around Bucharest by myself.
I can dedicate 6 to 10 hours per week of a combination of class or tutorial time and home study. Probably 2 to three hours can be in class or with a tutor.
I am a beginner and understand very little, only what I have picked up casually.
The level I wish to attain is converstaiona l, but NOT
geared to tourist applications, but rather day to day living.

I am looking for a qualified Russian Language Instructor. I am married to a beautiful Russian woman, who speaks English very well. But she is living in Moscow for the next 10 months or so. I really want to surprise her by learning to speak her native language. And also I plan to visit Russia and would like to be able to speak 'conversation ally' I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can to learn this. I only know a very few words, less than 20. It would mean a lot to my Wife if I could do this. I am looking for someone who is qualified, and /or is a Native of Russia.
