I am a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State and would like to learn some general Arabic to use overseas.
I have never taken Arabic before (complete beginnner).
I would like to study 'full-time', which is approximately 4-6 hours a day. I would like to do this for approximately 1 year (Summer 2010 - Summer 2011, flexible dates). However, I am sure that the DoS would not pay for individual lessons, so I would like to join another group.

I am a beginner learning romanian, I have purchased the pimsler approach and am almost through the 10 cd audio lessons. I am going to be moving to Romania to be with my wife who is from romania; at the end of the year. I need to become proficient and would like to be able to read and write by the end of the year. I can dedicate 3 hours a day to my studies and I need all the help I can get. Can you help? or can you refer me to someone that can help me?

Dear teachers,
I am American who lived overseas (literally all around the world) for 10 years, because of my dad's work. Now that I am back to the USA for good people tell me that I got a nice mix, some kind of a European-Amer ican accent...for my work right now I need to be speaking clearly. Well, I am looking for a private American (by birth in the USA) tutor who will help me only with spoken English, to help me get rid of that accent. Right now I live in Salt Lake City.

I am very proficient in Spanish and lived in Mexico for some time. I'm at an intermediate level with Portuguese and Italian. currently I am working on learning French but just beginning with it. I took a couple years of japanese in high school but haven't had much practice so i'm back down to the basics with that too. I'd like to learn chinese and Arabic but have no background with the languages. I want to be able to travel and possibly teach abroad and I'd like to work for an international organization, probably non-profit in humanitarian aid. I need help with conversationa l portugues and italian and could use help learning the basics of Chinese and Arabic. I would be more than happy to help someone learning Spanish.
