I will be moving to Chennai. I will require basic conversationa l skills to communicate on a day to day basis. I am new to the Tamil language and can be considered a beginner. I am interested in learning conversationa l Tamil as soon as possible. I will be able to give atleast 2 to 3 hours a week, if not more. -> I will be living on a farm outside Kodaikanal in the near future, and want to learn to speak Tamil so that I can communicate with the local people and the staff who will be helping me run my home and farm.
-> I am a beginner - I can say a few basic phrases, and count to ten.
-> My main requirement is to learn conversationa l Tamil.
-> As much as my teacher recommends, although, since I run my own business, there is a bit of a time constraint.
-> I would prefer lessons to be at my home, if possible. My teacher would need to speak good English so we can communicate well. Other than that, I am hoping to find a teacher who loves teaching and loves Tamil, so that I may be infected by that same passion.
