My proficiency level in Afrikaans is beginner. However, I know flemish and was fluent at one time. I can understand some spoken Afrikaans and can read simple sentences.
I am learning Afrikaans because my partner is from South Africa and we will be moving there in June. While I know they speak English, I am committed to learning Afrikaans.
I will spend about two hours a day at home actively studying the language, and two half days or one full day a week with an instructor depending on how we are able to work out a mutual schedule.
I am looking for a native speaker of Afrikaans, preferably someone who is extremely proficient not only in speaking the language, but in the ability to teach as well. I prefer that the teacher is patient and kind.

That makes it hard for me to interact with them in the language of their choice,Afrika ans. My company advised me to undertake Afrikaans lessons as that would help me excel in my job and do the company good.I'm a beginner and need to learn grammar and conversation. Hello my name is Keith and I am interested in learning afrikaans. I at beginner level but I have not been practicing for a few months. I am interested in learning the language to speak to South Africans that I know and am planning to maybe move to South Africa. #
