I am a beginner in Russian. I know the alphabet and can sound out words but do not know their meanings. I know basic greetings and other phrases that I've picked up from audio language kits. I am learning Russian for the sake of picking up an additional language that I might be able to use at work or in the future. I need help with my Russian conversationa l skills as well as reading skills. Depending on the cost of the classes I can meet up to twice a week an hour per session. I am looking for a teacher/tutor who can help me progress in the language fairly quickly.

I first studied Russian 4 1/2 years ago, but since then I have not had very much time or opportunity to keep in practice with it. Due to that my vocabulary and proficiency have decreased significantly . I would like to increase my proficiency with Russian both for my job and my personal benefit. My grammar and conversationa l proficiency need a lot of work, as well as my vocabulary. For the time being I am looking for a tutor that can work with me a couple hours a week. My focus currently is increasing my conversationa l ability and vocabulary.
