I can read and speak some Russian. I wish to concentrate on practice in speaking and listening. I need to expand my vocabulary. There is no practical reason for this desire. I would just like to be somewhat proficient in a second language. I am willing to commit to several hours a day. I look mostly for patience in drilling in things like vocabulary and endings.

I'm interested in learning Russian for potential PhD research - I would need to be able to conduct basic interviews in Russian and translate written documents.

I wish to learn Russian because I make at least two trips to Ukraine every year. Poissibly will be making more frequent trips or living there for several months at a time. I am a beginner in the language. I wish to have some conversationa l ability (correct grammer!)and be able to read simple documents.
O ne problem: I have a hearing impairment that makes it difficult to hear certain words. I realize it will be a struggle to learn Russian due to this problem, but I am willing to try. With proper feedback on my pronunciation , I think that I can do reasonably well.

I am a beginner trying to learn Russian. I am looking for a native speaker to meet once a week individually or in a class setting. My boyfriend is from Ukraine and his whole family speaks Russian. His grandparents speak almost no English. I have been using some CDs and practicing, but I know VERY little. I really want to be able to communicate with his family. I speak Spanish and English. Thank you.
