I have very basic beginning proficiency in the Russian Language. I am familiar with the alphabet, can 'sound out' and recognize some words, and can recognize some words in conversation. I am learning Russian because I plan to travel there in December. I need improvement in all areas and am willing to dedicate as much time as necessary to become conversationa lly fluent by that time. I have availability of constant practice with my family. I am looking for a teacher that is patient and has experience with adult students.

I learned Russian in college, but that has been almost seven years ago. I don't know my proficiency level. Perhaps intermediate or just above beginner.
I am really interested in the language, and want to learn how to speak it more fluently. I want it for my own personal development and also for career advancement.
I need improvement in conversation and grammar.
I am willing to dedicate weekends. Also, there are certain Fridays that I have off, and I am willing to work on those days as well.
I just want a teacher who is patient and can help me better myself in Russian.

Profeciency Level: Lower Intermediate - I completed a beginner course in UCD. (Final grade = A) We completed the book 'Ruslan 1'.
Why I am learning Russian: I am enthusiastic about learning Russian because I play chess and want to make friends with Russian people.
Th e areas I need improvement: The only real problem area I have is conversation. Nobody to practice with unfortunately . I find grammar and learning new words not so difficult.
How much time: If I find a teacher I will make learning Russian my top priority. I just finished University so I have time to learn a new skill.
