I have always had an interest in learning Japanese. I visited for the first time 2 years ago and want to go back soon. I want to learn the language and be able to navigate better when I am there next. I do not have any knowledge of the Japanese language or culture. Very excited to learn. I am willing to dedicate two days a week to meet my teacher. I am willing to do homework every day.
I am looking for a teacher who will teach me to speak Japanese with the culture in mind. I do not want to offend anyone when I am there and want to learn the language properly. I travel there with my husband and I attend business dinners with him and clients so it is very important to speak properly and with care. I would like a patient, kind teacher.

Hello,
I'm wanting to learn Japanese purely for personal achievement as i've been fascinated with the language and country.
I n terms of my level of proficieny in the Japanese language, i have to say i am a complete beginner, starting fresh.
I'd like to focus primarily on the oral side of the language, but grammar, reading and writing are also interesting to me.
Time dedication to the learning of Japanese is tricky for me, as i'm currently a student at college, and therefore spend my weekdays there with self study at night. I also have a part time job on saturdays. However i would like to study Japanese in the evenings too, and will set a side a night or two per week where it is convenient for me and a possible tutor. Sunday is of course a good day too if available to teach on by tutors.
Fo r qualities of a tutor; im looking for professional in terms of their standards of teaching, but is also good to talk with in an informal way. In other words, id like to learn from a relaxed person that has a sense of humor but can teach to a high standard in a way that is suited to me.
I'm an easy going guy to be honest, and i'd like to be comfortable with the person that is teaching me. Them being understanding of me, instead of getting annoyed if i cant quite grasp something is important.

I want to learn Japanese because I plan to go there. I don't want to expect people to speak English when I go there. I want to speak the language that is native to the country. I have also always loved Japanese culture (food, movies, people, design, Miyazaki).
I would like to have one or two classes per week (about an hour long).
Con versational Japanese and reading basic Japanese is what I would like.
